ABOUT What we do
Why choose us?
David Mobley Architectural Models builds museum-quality scale replicas of existing and future projectsfor architects, engineers, land planners, developersand institutional clients.Since 1980, DMAM has provided expert model craftsmanship in hand-cut, finished and airbrushed plastics, foam and brass for clients such as the U.S. Marine Corps, General Atomics, Arena Pharmaceutical and Scripps Encinitas Hospital. Each of our models is meticulously crafted as an accurate representation of the planned project using schematic, design development or construction documents and specifications provided by our clients. We approach our craft as an art and every job for each client is unique. We meet or exceed the expectations of our clients by understanding their specific goals and purposes for the finished product. Our models are built for fund-raising, sales, marketing, promotion, agency review/approval, trade shows, public display, groundbreaking ceremonies, lenders' packages, forensic exhibits and design studies.
We're easy to work with.We are architects-as-craftsmen, so we speak the language of our colleagues in architecture, engineering, interiors and industrial design. This advantage comes in handy when discussing and understandingdesign details or filling in blanks when working with schematic design sketches. We make deadlines. As architects, we understand that investor, owner and planning commission meetings are fixed. We know the importance of getting our work done on time. Ours is a small specialty studio. If scheduling your project risks missing a deadline, we will decline the project and refer you to one of our qualifed competitors. The success of your presentation or event is our ultimate objective. We're cost-effective.DMAM is, literally, a home-based business with low overhead. We're not paying rent for shop space because we can accommodate most models in our 600sf home studio and very large models (when necessary) in our affiliated 1,600sf man-cave. 32 years of happy repeat clients. To be honest, we are craftsmen first and experts in self-promotion not-so-much. We depend on building and then nurturing our business relationships by consistently meeting or exceeding the quality, price and deadline expectations of our clients. Their repeat business allows us to celebrate our craft, remain competitive and continue growing.
